I was surprised at the lack of Subarus and Mitsubishis (Mitsubishii?) on the streets of Tokyo. I saw one EvoX and a couple of GD and GR series STI’s but that was it for the most part. Thankfully I ran into a couple of more classic AWD contenders parked up among the usual GT-Rs, RX7′s and 240′s at Daikoku this year.

This Mitsubishi Evolution III was a really clean example, although some of the panel gaps were looking a bit off. This is one of those cars that won’t ever look dated or weak to me.

Although some of the panel gaps (check out that hood left to right) were a bit off, this looked like a pretty clean example!

Luckily someone courteously brought out a Subaru. Not sure I love the banana yellow colour that the Evos and WRX’s used to come in, but it’s pretty cool to see one of these on their home turf for me as a Subaru guy.
