Not exactly sure what the point of this particular drift event was, other than the absolutely bonkers drifting these all very similar looking Skylines are putting on. However once you get past the usual weirdness Japan starts all its videos with, there’s some great runs here.

The Gumball 3000 is rolling through my hometown this coming week and I’m definitely stoked to head out and shoot the cars, see the event and the madness, and hopefully more than a couple burnouts downtown. Look forward to a tonne of coverage. In the meantime, here’s a video of the pre-staging for the rally start, while the cars were getting their vinyls applied in the UK. But what to do when going on a multi-country tour in a car with storage akin to a eyeglasses case? Custom roof rack. Booya.

It was only a matter of time. We’ve seen the custom installs, now we have the universal 2-DIN mounting solution from Scosche that lets you drive into a telephone pole while using your iPad. Great! Can’t wait to see someone using one of these on the road!

I’ve seen this done before, but this one really works for me! A forum member on iwsti.com (Subaru STI central) decided to stickerbomb his centre console, but it’s been done properly and with some truly decent style. Might be a bit of a fad at the moment, but I’m really feeling this look. Not sure how distracting that’d be though, might even making figuring out the nav a bit of a challenge!

I was fortunate enough to shoot some pics at last years Tall Pines rally. It was an interesting experience for sure, very different from the other more track based forms of motorsport I’ve shot. But it was overall a cool experience and got to see some great driving. One driver who was killing it was Crazy Leo. Looks like I might be doing some work with Leo in the near future so I thought I’d throw out these pics I grabbed of him doing what he does best – thrashing one of his many cars!
